We are currently setting up our dogsfriendly community where you can register with the site, add locations and keep in touch with us and each other. We know it's been a long time coming but unfortunately this site is voluntary and business comes first. Please come back later and see what is happening.

Help us support "Help for Heroes"

Andy Frizzell (dogsfriendly.co.uk website manager) and his nephew, Matt Charnick will be walking from Oost Cappel in northern France to Dunkerque via Hondschoote and Bray Dunes in aid of Help for Heroes and in honour of my father, Matt's grandfather and all those that fell in the retreat from the invading German army in May 1940.

We will be doing this walk on 28th May 2010 to mark the 70th Anniversary of operation dynamo, the Dunkerque evacuation.

Be our eyes and ears

With the best will in the world we cannot visit every pub in the country, believe me I have tried  So we are asking all our visitors to notify us of any great places you come across and to update us on others if circumstances change i.e. certain pubs no longer allow dogs, a beach has banned dogs etc.

When time permits we are adding the old recommendations of pubs, walks etc to this new site. While the list is currently a little short the built in search engine may be a bit of overkill but as time goes on it will become an invaluable tool to help you find places for you and your dogs, why not give it a try now.

Remember, this is a community website run for dog lovers everywhere. So why not join in the fun. We will be introducing user registration soon where you will be able to add pubs, walks, holiday lets and cottages and dog news plus many other things we haven't even thought of yet.

So near but....

We're finally on the road to getting this site back to something like we intended. We have got the basic categories (pages) set up however, one or two of them need filling with our existing data.

Why we exist.

E-mail Print PDF

DogsFriendly is a web site to promote the acceptance of dogs in public places. It exists because once too often we've been turned away from empty pubs on cold spring lunchtimes when all we wanted was a bite to eat and a beer. Our aim, with your help (customers and landlords) is to build a database of dog friendly pubs, cafe's, hotels, holiday lets or anything we haven't even thought of yet. The site is user driven and nearly all our pages allow site visitors to submit their own information. If you can write an email you can fill in one of our page forms. It's very easy. Please take the time to look at all our pages and add your special venue. Remember, when you have a holiday or visit a pub with your dogs make a note of it and post it on this site when you get home.
